A new study published in the journal Eye maps out the top research priorities for eye care in the UK. 2,240 healthcare professionals, patients, carers, researchers and charity support workers were surveyed to map out the research priorities for ophthalmology in the UK. The paper, which features Dr Jay Self as a co-author highlights glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, childhood vision loss and short-sightedness as target study areas over the next 5 years. Jay contributed to the paper from a paediatric and neuro point of view.
